Self Talk for Endurance

We can respect the endurance that has been required of us this past year. We can salute ourselves for the endurance needed to show up, to get up, to mourn what has disappeared, to let go, and to keep loving. That takes endurance.

And what about the endurance needed for all those groundhog days. Chop wood. Carry water. Chop wood. Carry Water. And repeat, repeat, repeat. Get done what needs to get done that moment, that day.

And what about the courage we have shown. And how we’ve had to dig deep within ourselves to find strength and faith, and trust.

And what about the resilience we have shown.

And what about the compassion we have shown ourselves and others, and the forgiveness we have given.

And what about the optimism we have shown.

Yes, we are truly worthy of respect for the endurance that we have shown. We have done our best. We have been very capable. We can salute ourselves for that. Big pat on the back. Well done you!

Now carry on. Chop wood. Carry water. Do what needs doing. And do it with Love.

My self talk:

  • I can respect the endurance the past year has taken.

  • I am resilient.

  • I am capable.

  • I am courageous.

  • I keep going step by step, moment by moment, day by day.

  • I am strong.

  • I am whole.
